Long ago, an ancient kingdom Resided in the land of Light. There ruled the good King Rodrick, who oversaw the goings of his kingdom with a watchful eye. He kept the citizens safe, and took every threat very seriously. But then one day, his court mage Akatosh took The Gem of Eternal Darkness from the treasuries sealed vaults. He used this gem to murder King Rodrick, and lay the land to waste. He named himself King, but the gem corrupted him, and a thing called blight began to emerge from the gem, covering Akatosh's body with it. After that, Akatosh was known simply as The Blight, and corrupted everything he touched with the substance. Eventually, some peices of blight formed themselves into Dark Creatures, which created minions and Dark Bats. Then a huge network of caves was unearthed just beneath the surface, and most of the dark creatures reside there now. It is said that for one to defeat The Blight, they must obtain Three Relics, The Flame, The Light, and the Blight Gem that originally Corrupted Akatosh. It is said that once these relics are held by one individual, They would wield the power to stop The Blight and free this once joyous land.
